FAQs Made Simple
Ibom LNG & Logistics Base Limited is a Nigerian energy company and a member of the Erojim Group, focused on natural gas monetization in Akwa Ibom State. We are developing a state-of-the-art modular LNG processing plant, integrated logistics hub, and marine support facilities in Akpabom Community, Eastern Obolo Local Government Area, within the Liberty Oil and Gas Free Zone. Our goal is to transform underutilized natural gas into valuable LNG and related products, supporting Nigeria’s energy security, reducing gas flaring, and driving economic growth through exports and domestic supply.
The project is sited in Akpabom, Eastern Obolo LGA, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, inside the Liberty Oil and Gas Free Zone. This prime coastal location offers direct Atlantic Ocean access for marine logistics and exports, tax incentives, streamlined customs, and proximity to abundant gas resources. The Free Zone spans a large area and is designed for energy clusters (petroleum, logistics, heavy industry), enabling shared infrastructure, cost efficiency, and industrial synergies.
The initial phase targets 100–150 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD) using advanced modular liquefaction technology. Long-term expansion plans aim for up to 10 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA), allowing scalable growth to meet rising global and domestic demand while maintaining efficiency and environmental compliance.
In January 2026, we signed a landmark $700 million MoU and Financing Term Sheet with UAE-based Securo Investment Group at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week to fund the initial 100 MMSCFD facility. We also signed an NDA with the Akwa Ibom State Government to advance collaboration, and received a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for the site, marking strong progress in development and regulatory support.
